Building flexibility into apparel commerce.
Lukuu needed a platform that could grow from a single-brand storefront into a full multi-vendor marketplace — without requiring a complete rebuild. The challenge was architecting a system that handled complex product variations (sizes, colors, inventory per SKU) while keeping the buying experience clean and friction-free.
Off-the-shelf solutions either locked clients into a fixed model or sacrificed customization and performance. The requirement was a platform built specifically for apparel commerce, from product filtering to checkout flow.
The result needed to feel premium, load fast, and scale as the business grows.

Dynamic Product Filtering
Real-time filtering by category, size, color, and price range, all handled client-side with Redux for zero loading states and instant product discovery.
Redux State Management
Centralized cart and product state using Redux Toolkit, ensuring consistent behavior across the shopping journey, from product selection to checkout.
M-Pesa STK Push Checkout
Integrated Safaricom Daraja API for seamless mobile money payments. Customers pay directly via phone, no card details, no friction, no abandoned carts.
Product Variation System
Handles complex SKU logic, sizes, colors, and stock per variation, with intelligent out-of-stock handling and variant-specific pricing.
Merchant Admin Dashboard
A full backend dashboard for managing inventory, processing orders, updating product listings, and monitoring sales, built for the business owner to operate independently.
Secure Auth System
JWT-based authentication for customers, with separate admin auth roles, protected routes, and persistent sessions.
